Tys That Bind (Devils Pride MC #3)
Unprepared, ill-equipped, and with no example to look back on, Ty and Chase embarked on a journey to build a family for Ava and Luc that would far exceed anything they dreamed of for themselves. Two years later, they’ve succeeded beyond their wildest expectations, but there’s still a couple of things missing…and they’re ready to make them happen.
Bad boy biker Trick wouldn’t hesitate to fight for those he loves, but Ty knows it will take more than violence to win this war. Willfully submissive Chase has the utmost faith in his Master, but when he sees Ty struggling with demons from his past, it will be his quiet, unbending support that will see them through. Jumping through the loopholes of family court, they are only one event shy of making it all official and neither are willing to wait another second to check it off the list.
Clearing the path for adoption should reassure them, but it will take their cast of well-meaning friends and the occasional slap upside the head before they realize that the ties that bind them together are forged in a love that can never be taken away.

Our Jessie Exclusive:
I asked Evette what she wanted me to talk about in this guest post and her first suggestion (and rightly so) was that I tell you how amazing she is. She is. Did you know? I lurve her so much even my husband’s jealous <3 Seriously, if you were ever in the market for BestE, Evette should be your first choice, but you can’t have her because she’s mine. M.I.N.E.
Okay, enough with the sappy bullshit ß did you ever wonder where Ty gets it from?
She did have one other prompt and it made me laugh out loud, so now I’m going to try to write a post about it.
BestE: How do you keep all the sex straight? Each couple is so unique.
JessieG: By the time I get to the sex scene, I’ve got a clear picture of my guys in my head. I’ve taken the journey with them, figured out who they are, what they like, what their little quirks might be, and imagined them acting out everything from a fight to a first kiss. If possible, I’ve placed them in locations where I’ve been so I can walk in their shoes (so to speak). And when it’s time for them to hit the bed or the wall or the floor…well, I visualized that too.
Sex is a basic bodily function and the moving parts aren’t unique, but how the character acts or feels about what’s happening should very definitely be true to the person I’ve written. Just like in real life, things that are acceptable and enjoyable between one couple may be a no-go for another. Certainly, I couldn’t imagine Red enjoying the same things that Chase does.
My goal from beginning to end is to stay true to the character, the experiences that have created their story, their mindset in the present, and even the journey they’re on (i.e. Davin or Javier not only becoming comfortable with but finding true enjoyment in their sexuality). If I know my characters well enough to write their story, the intimacy is easy to write.
Case in point, I’m writing a story now where the characters have sex without truly knowing each other. Not so much a one-night stand as them turning to one another under extremely stressful circumstances. As I was writing it, it felt awkward and disjointed. At first reread, I even considered scrapping it, but I’ve decided to leave it like that because that’s part of their journey.
Did any of that make sense?
Thank you for hosting my guys and for being so super-wonderfully-amazing!
Evette gives it 5 stars.
So, there is no secret that I adore Ty and Chase. Hardcore love them. They remain in my top two, right next to my other men Red and Bull…but I digress. To Jessie, congrats on a FREAKING AMAZING INSTALLMENT.
Laughter, tears, beautiful. Enjoyed all of the nuances shown for both Ty and Chase as well as their relationships with the others. Floved Ty as a sap (or as sappy as is possible for him) his insecurities-just wanted to hug him-really just all things Ty. What is it about Ty that just hits all of my buttons? Who cares, I will just keep on loving it.
And Chase-holy hell! The entire Evan, Tory and Chase encounter, the way that Ty and Chase circle each other, reading each other, being exactly what the other needs, or doing their damn best to make it happen. Enjoyed seeing that strength that is always underneath the surface with Chase flying free.
Have I mentioned I really love this series???? I’ve said before how impressed I am with this world, with the families both blood and made that continue to grow and strengthen. Already hungry for more, with so many incredible characters and story lines I can’t wait to see what’s next.
About Jessie G
Like many readers, the dream of being a writer has been with me a long time. After three decades of trying, I’d begun to doubt. Thanks to social media, I followed my favorite authors hoping to glean some words of wisdom as I pounded out half-formed ideas with alarming regularity. Two repetitive themes emerged: to be a great writer you must read a lot and your butt must be in the chair every day like it’s a job. The more you write, the easier it will be to write and the better you will be at writing. I took that advice to heart and write every day. With three series in the works and a full schedule of releases planned for the next two years, it’s been amazing to have made this dream my reality.
I am a firm believer in marriage equality, love at first sight, power dynamics, and happily ever after. I’m a lover of strong secondary characters, and series filled with families—biological or chosen. All are themes you’ll find throughout my books.
